Farmhouse
Enjoy a relaxing stay in our 18th Century, fully restored Farmhouse.
We offer all the comforts of home with modern amenities and a hint of nostalgia.
Our farmstead boasts a friendly atmosphere and is the perfect venue for family vacations, business retreats, ski trips, weekend getaways, reunions, farm weddings and other events.
The house boasts five antique-appointed bedrooms, two full bathrooms and a half bath, a large dining room and modern kitchen, and a gorgeous sun room with views of the property from three directions.
The spacious family room featuring a wood-burning stove invites you to sit back and relax and enjoy all the luxuries of a family farm vacation.
With the farmhouse rental you’ll also enjoy the private backyard, which features an in-ground heated and saltwater swimming pool, deck with a spa Jacuzzi, bar and lounge seating area, and stone patio with large dining table, gas grill and fire pit. You can BBQ on the deck, take a dip in the swimming pool or relax in the Jacuzzi spa as you take in wildlife and the glorious sunset. In the evening, sit around the fire pit and make s’mores while you gaze at the star-filled sky.
Throughout the year at BBVF you can hike through grassy meadows, bird watch, play lawn games, snow shoe, cross-country ski and sled.
Guests can enjoy a private tour of the farm where you can pet and feed our goats, pigs, barn cats and chickens and a wagon ride to explore the hills. You can also collect their own eggs from the chicken coop and during the summer and fall, visit our pumpkin patch and pick-your-own pumpkin for carving.

There is WiFi at the house as well as a selection of popular DVDs and classic VHS tapes. The expansive, private lawn area offers plenty of room for outdoor games like volleyball, cornhole, badminton, horse shoes, and croquet, all of which are provided. Our beautiful backyard features a deck with spa Jacuzzi and lounge seating area, stone patio with umbrella, large outdoor dining area, gas grill and fire pit. Everything you find in our home is available for use during your stay. We have a fully equipped kitchen with a soft pantry, offering basics such as coffee and condiments. Linens, towels, propane and a reasonable amount of toilet paper/paper towels are provided. As a special thank you for choosing BBVF, you’ll find 10 fresh eggs from our hens in the fridge upon arrival. We have made countless, priceless memories over the years at our farmstead, and we welcome you to do the same.
As we are a working farm, our managers and various caretakers visit the property daily to tend to the farm and animals. They enter and exit through a separate farm road and will not interfere with your stay. We utilize a digital check-in but our Guest Relations Manager will be in touch with you leading up to check-in to provide details and answer questions. She will be available throughout your stay should you have issues, but otherwise you’ll have the place to yourself. If you would like a farm tour to pet and feed our animals and to collect your own farm fresh eggs from the chicken coop, we would be pleased to schedule that for you.
From May through October our Glampground is open and may be rented by one group. The Glampground is located ¼ mile from the farmhouse and guests use the farm road to access.
Looking for things to do in Salem, NY? The charming revolutionary war town of Salem, just a short walk or drive from our farmstead, boasts a few quaint, delicious restaurants and unique shops to explore. Visit the town library or community center, which is built in the renovated and historic county jail, for various activities and events. During the summer season, the impressive Fort Salem Theater offers a variety of plays and musicals featuring talent from all over the country.
A car is required for getting around and four-wheel drive is essential in the winter. There are limited taxi services for hire to take you to/from nearby towns if you are planning day drips and prefer not to drive.

“The farmhouse is a perfect place for a family reunion! We’ve been coming for the last few years, and it’s awesome each time we visit. There is plenty of space to hang out. Between walks around the property, playing cards in the sunroom, swimming, enjoying a hot tub soak, playing pool, jumping on the trampoline, or enjoying a family meal around the large table, there is plenty of space and fun for all ages.”

“The house and the grounds were spectacular we had a great time. Sarah was a terrific host. We are usually not repeat visitors but for this we definitely would make an exception.”

“We had our wedding here on October 3rd, 2021. Sarah and her team were not only super friendly but were very accommodating for anything and everything we needed to make our day as amazing as it could be. I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a place to relax and spend a weekend or get married! We will be coming back!”

“BBVF provided me and my extended family with such a memorable stay. The big picture (beautiful home, gorgeous rooms, fun farm tour with the animals) as well as all the little details the hosts put into the house (the amazing game closets, the kitchen’s cooking amenities, and secret playroom!) made this Airbnb stay truly spectacular. Would love to come back in all seasons, as would my kids! They had a blast. Host Sarah was lovely as well.”

“Magical is the closest word I can find to describe staying at Blind Buck Valley Farmstead, and even that is insufficient to describe how wonderful it truly is. This was our second visit, and the friends we brought with us this time loved it as much as we did. Our kid guests (10, 13, 14, and 16) loved the trampoline, pool table, ping pong, and the hot tub- they had a total blast. The adults had a wonderfully relaxing time as well. We cooked a big Thanksgiving feast, had fun with the excellent assortment of games in the game closet, and loved walking around the farm and surrounding country roads. It is so much more amazing than it even looks in the photos, and those are gorgeous! If you are thinking about booking DO IT!!! You will not regret it. We’re already looking for a date for trip #3!”
Holly
“Sarah’s farm is absolutely delightful. The pictures don’t do the place justice – it is an absolute gem stocked with all the creature comforts for guests, and particularly kids, with all the games and the cute playroom. We all had a wonderful time at the farm and can’t recommend it highly enough. Thanks much Sarah!”

“We are a family with young toddlers and Sarah’s farm was great. The home is an old farm house with updates. The pool is great, the farm is so much fun and the people are fabulous. The kids had so many adventures, learned about the animals, jumped on the trampoline, explored the property and spent hours in the pool. Really a great vacation for a family to stay together.”

“You can expect perfection on every level. Comfortable beds lovely furnishings, every comfort of kitchen and home that you could possibly need. You will marvel at the beauty of this gorgeous property in all seasons!”

“Sarah’s farm is amazing. We spent a long weekend there, 3 families with 6 kids, all under 4, and everyone had something fun to do. During the day, our kids loved walking around the farm and seeing the animals, jumping in the pool, and spending time in the 2 play rooms in the house. At night the adults relaxed in the hot tub and sat around the fire eating dinner. Sarah had great recommendations for activities in the area and for catered meals. 10/10 can’t wait to go back.”

“Huge, classic farm house with room to spread out. 6 of us stayed with lots of gear for an event, and everyone had space to spread out and be comfortable. Hot tub was great after a long day out, newer grill was great for cooking up the local meat they delivered for us when we arrived. If you like little bits of history, the house has tons of pictures and old photo albums. If you just want to relax it has pool, hot tub and football table. If you like quiet…you’re in the country and not a sound except birds and crickets anywhere. Lots of comfortable outdoor space with large dining table and a big fire pit with wood available. Couldn’t of found a better spot for what we needed.”
Neal
“Home was so nice, pool and outdoor area were a hit! Communication spot on. Would love to stay here again!”
Alina
“The farm is amazing! The house has plenty of space for a big family get together, but the best part is the outdoors. The views poolside are breathtaking. The large outdoor table allows for a huge family meal, and the kids love to roast marshmallows arrowed the fire pit. The space is secluded, beautiful, and peaceful. We left feeling recharged.”
